Privacy Policy
OBSERVE ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through meaghansimonich.com and our Podia storefront (together, the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
OBSERVE is operated by Meaghan Simonich, based in Sheridan, Wyoming. Contact: hello@meaghansimonich.com.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly:
- Name and email address, when you download a free resource, subscribe to our newsletter (Observations), or purchase a Product
- Payment information, when you make a purchase. This is collected and processed directly by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card details.
- Any information you send us directly, such as replies to our emails or messages through a contact form
Information collected automatically:
- Basic technical and usage data (such as pages visited and general location) through standard analytics tools that may be used by our hosting provider (Netlify) or storefront provider (Podia)
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and our Products are intended for adult professionals.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver the digital Products you purchase or request
- Send you the email sequence associated with a free resource or purchase
- Send you our ongoing newsletter, Observations, if you have subscribed
- Respond to questions or requests you send us
- Improve our Site, Products, and communications
- Process payments securely through Stripe
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
Because OBSERVE runs on a small stack of trusted platforms, some of your information passes through these providers as part of normal operation:
- Podia — hosts our product checkout, delivery, and email list/automation
- Stripe — processes payments securely; Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data
- Netlify — hosts our website
- Cloudflare — manages our domain and email routing
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on their systems.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use the following tools to understand how visitors use the Site and to measure whether our marketing is working:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — collects information about how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed and which links are clicked, using cookies and similar identifiers. Read Google's Privacy Policy.
- Meta Pixel — collects information about actions taken on the Site (such as viewing a page or clicking a button) so we can measure the effectiveness of advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), using cookies and similar identifiers. Read Meta's Privacy Policy.
These tools may use cookies or similar technologies stored on your device. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Declining cookies may affect how the Site functions but will not prevent you from using it.
6. Email Communications
If you provide your email address, you may receive a delivery email with your requested free resource or purchased Product, a short automated welcome series related to that resource or purchase, and our ongoing newsletter, Observations.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribing will stop future marketing emails but will not affect delivery of a Product you've already purchased.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as needed to deliver Products, respond to inquiries, and maintain business records, or until you ask us to delete it (see below).
8. Your Rights and Choices
You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time, request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or request that we delete your personal information, subject to any records we're legally required to keep (such as transaction records).
To make any of these requests, email hello@meaghansimonich.com.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and we rely on established, reputable providers (Stripe, Podia, Netlify, Cloudflare) for payment processing, hosting, and email delivery. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
